North India Plus Varanasi

Day 1: Arrive - Delhi
On arrival, you will be met by our representative & transferred to hotel where we will be holding the rooms on ready occupancy basis. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi
In the first half of the day enjoy city tour covering India Gate, President’s house, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar, Laxmi Narayan temple. After lunch enjoy city tour of Old Delhi covering Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Gandhi Memorial followed by sound & light show at Red Fort.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 03 : Delhi - Jaipur
Morning drive to Jaipur. On arrival check into hotel. Day free to enjoy city atmosphere. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04 : Jaipur
A. M. An excursion to Amber fort with joy ride on an Elephant – The fort is a superb example of Rajput architecture, P. M. City tour covering City Palace – occupies a large area divided series of courtyards, gardens & buildings and a perfect blend of Rajasthani & Mughal architecture, Royal Observatory – An observatory with some rare qualities to its credit, Nawab Sahab Ki Haveli – The haveli which shows the rare beauty of Rajasthani architecture Bazaar etc. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05 : Jaipur – Agra
A.M. Drive to Agra enroute Fatehpur Sikri (Old Deserted town of Mughal Dynasty) – Jama Masjid / The Buland darwaza, Palace of Jodha Bai, Birbal

Bhawan & Panch Mahal. On arrival check into hotel. P. M. Visit Red Fort – a visit to the fort in ‘Agra’ is must since so many of the events which lead to the construction of the Taj took place here, Itmad-ud-daula’s Tomb – The tomb is of particular interest since many of its design Elephants overshadow the Taj. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06 : Agra – Varanasi
A.M. visit Taj mahal – a poem written in white marble, the most extravagant monument ever built for love, followed by transfer to railway station catch your train to Varanasi. Overnight on train.

Day 07 : Varanasi
On arrival Varanasi transfer to hotel. In the afternoon take an excursion to Buddhist town of Sarnath – The hallowed spot where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon after enlightenment.Overnight hotel.

Day 08 : Varanasi
Varanasi’s principle attraction is the string of bathing ghats which line the western ghats of Ganges, enjoy boat ride at dawn. After breakfast visit the Ghats, Tulsi Manas temple, Alamgir temple, Bharat Mata temple etc. Day free to roam about. Overnight at hotel.

Day 09 : Varanasi – Shivpatinagar
A.M. Drive to Shivpatinagar enroute Kushinagar : a small town amidst a dense forest, famous as this was the place where Buddha passed into Parinirvan (went for his heavenly abode) Arrive into the charming & colonial estate and check into hotel. P. M. Visit Kapilvastu : the place where Buddha spent his childhood and youth. Spent the night at hotel after having Gala Dinner including bar-be-que, special music & dance.

Day 10 : Shivpatinagar – Chitwan
Morning free to relax, in the afternoon drive to Chitwan enroute Lumbini: The birthplace of Buddha. Arrive and check into Nature resort. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11 : Chitwan National Park
Day free for Jungle activities such as Nature walk, bird watching, village visiting. Elephant back Safari, etc. In the evening enjoy Traditional Tharu Cultural dance. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12 : Chitwan – Pokhara
A.M. Drive to Pokhara. Arrive and check into hotel. P. M. Stroll around the Lake side. Overnight at hotel.

Day 13 : Pokhara
Early morning one hour boat ride at Pewa Lake and then visit the temple situated in the middle of the lake.After breakfast take an excursion to Sarangkot. Drive back to Pokhara. Overnight to be spent at hotel.

Day 14 : Pokhara – Kathmandu
Today drive to Kathmandu, arrive & check into hotel. P.M. Free for personal activities. Overnight at hotel.

Day 15 : Kathmandu
Full day city tour of Bhaktapur, Pashupatinath and Boudhanath. Overnight at hotel.

Day 16 : Kathmandu
Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu & Patan city. Overnight at hotel.

Day 17 : Kathmandu – Delhi Departure
Board your flight to Delhi where we will be holding the room for wash & change. Have your dinner. Transfer to airport to catch international flight.
